Lovers of travel and all things Italian, the bride and groom became enraptured by the beautiful venue in Tulsa, Oklahoma of the The Philbrook Museum of Art. If you squinted just a bit, you would swear you were in the hills of Tuscany. Taking inspiration from the surroundings of terra cotta tiled roofing and verdant landscaping, a palette of green, terra cotta and a beautiful blue was the perfect combination for this June 1st wedding. A significant amount of time and attention was given to the printed materials by the bride. As a photographer herself, she has an artistic eye and a keen interest in details. The beautiful invitations set the tone for this traditional with a hint of bohemian creativity wedding. The artistic florals along with the custom linens and the gorgeous setting created a wonderful al fresco dining environment for friends and family. The elegance of the weekend was seen in every aspect, particularly the bride’s fashion choices, from Oscar de la Renta rehearsal dinner dress to her Reem Acra wedding gown with 2 different accessories to her beautiful Oscar de la Renta second look and after party look, every fashion choice was a perfect representation of the bride’s style.
After the al fresco dinner, guests made their way to the dancing tent, with a custom dance floor and back line, comfy banquettes and his and hers bars where the dramatic decor above the bars represented the couple. On his side, was a bicycle decorated in beautiful florals to represent his biking passion and on her bar, images of her incredible photogrpahy was hanging as an art gallery. The band kept everyone on their feet until it was time for the group to exit and head to the after party at the newest hotel in downtown Tulsa, The Brut, where a DJ from Dallas had been flown in and the group gathered on the rooftop where the after party theme was Cat Daddy as the new groom was now an official “Cat Daddy” complete with a cat tower and disco balls. A night that had nine lives, but we still didn’t want it to be over.
